How do I delete a document from Word Online? - Microsoft Community
We can't delete a document with Word Online. For your scenario, please find where the useless documents are and then delete them directly from the locations. For example, if you want to delete a file from a SharePoint Online library, you can check the document and click Delete button.

Content Controls are displayed in Word Online but can’t be updated and edited currently. So you can’t directly use the feature in Word Online now. For using forms in SharePoint Online, the better way is to create a PowerApps form connected to SharePoint Online ( I guess that you are using the modern team site in SharePoint Online now.).

Dear Pamela Thanks for posting in the community. For your concern, you can’t insert objects in Word for Web. Since you can do it in the Word application, please open this online document in the Word application via File> Open> select the online location and open the online document. After that, you can insert the object from the workbook.
